File under: Are you CRAZY?, part 2

Oooh, telephone service on a Singapore airline. What a great idea.

"Singapore Airlines on Tuesday said it plans to roll out inflight wireless Internet and mobile device connectivity and evaluate the ability to make mobile phone calls on transpacific flights beginning in the first half of next year."

I can't wait to be trapped in my airplane seat listening to someone discuss his upcoming sales presentation, steak dinner, thumb up his ass... I SWEAR that I will whip out my cell phone in defense and loudly, obnoxiously talk to an imaginary friend someone until my seatmate's conversation stops.

But there will also be those times where you'll be grateful that you are the one able to use the phone to make a call that's important to you.

What will you do if your seat neighbor calls their imaginary friend?

Good point but the problem is that i don't envision people using phones on planes for quick, imperative calls only. Have you ever stood in line at a post office? People talk for 15 minutes about nonsense or dumb work stuff while they're in line. It's ridiculous and rude to the people stuck in line with you.
