evocative Words of the Day

Dictionary.com has delivered some evocative goodz as their Word of the Day lately. (and 'evocative' would be a good choice as well.)

Brobdingnagian \brob-ding-NAG-ee-uhn\, adjective: Of extraordinary size; gigantic; enormous

frabjous \FRAB-juhs\, adjective: Wonderful, elegant, superb, or delicious. Frabjous is one of many words coined by Lewis Caroll in Through the Looking-Glass.

nympholepsy \NIM-fuh-lep-see\, noun:
1. A frenzy of emotion, as for something unattainable.
2. An ecstasy supposed by the ancients to be inspired by nymphs.
